New at Plenty
The next chapter
Plenty started three years ago as a dream: a dream of a better future for everyday households.
We built a team of dreamers, pragmatists, and builders who believed we could take on the financial system and redefine what’s possible—based on what was so sorely needed. We set out to build a business that does right by the people it serves — and a product that makes finances simpler & more delightful, by bringing a refreshing simplicity to managing money with your partner.
Over the past three years, we dreamt a lot into existence. We began re-envisioning financial services for households. Through our tracking and budgeting experience, we helped couples easily answer: Where are we? Where’s our money going? Through our saving and investing experience, we sought to help answer: What are we on track for? How do we get there?
It’s been a privilege to serve thousands of individuals and couples who planned their financial lives with Plenty.
Today, I’m excited to share that we’re joining Wealthsimple to continue working toward our mission. We’ll be closing Plenty as a standalone product—though the vision that started this journey is far from over. In Wealthsimple, we’ve found a team that shares our ambition to build a new kind of financial services company—one that truly acts in the best interests of its clients. From challenging the status quo with new product experiences, to offering better service and lower pricing that leaves more in each family’s pocket, we couldn’t have found a more aligned team and culture.
As excited as we are, it’s bittersweet. It means saying goodbye, for now, to the thousands of couples who are currently using Plenty. We are so deeply grateful for the chance to build for each of you—for every person who trusted us with something as important as their money, who took the time to try our product, and who shared feedback that helped shape what we built.
As we enter this next chapter, we'll carry forward your stories, your needs, your hopes, and your dreams. Our mission remains the same: to help every household build wealth.
Thank you for making this journey possible. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to build for you—and we hope to have the chance to do so again, down the road.
Sincerely,
The Plenty Team
